Tropical Plants at the Botanical Garden Greenhouse

Be transported to a tropical rainforest and learn all about its plants and the intricate ways they have learned to adapt to their environment and interact with each other, such as orchids and bromeliads that have learned to root on top of other plants, and insectivorous plants that (as their name suggests) have evolved to become true predators. 

You will also see common houseplants in a new light, examine the tree used to build King David’s palaces and learn to distinguish between wild and cultivated banana varieties.
