The Clinic of Communication Projects at St Petersburg University receives a special diploma at the SeZaM-2022 contest
The Clinic of Communication Projects, i.e. a project of St Petersburg University, has been awarded a special diploma for the project "Personnel for Arctic" at the SeZaM-2022 contest. The project was implemented with the support of the Representative Office of the Arkhangelsk Region in St Petersburg.
The results were announced at the award ceremony on 19 May as part of the 20th North-West Media Forum. ‘For two decades, journalists from the North-West managed to build a single information and media community, an association of people who understand each other and are enthusiastic about their profession, their regions, and the country,’ said Liubov Sovershaeva, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwestern Federal District, at the ceremony. Professor Anatoly Puyu took part in the award ceremony as a guest of honour. He is Director of the Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communication at St Petersburg University. The winners of the contest from different regions and cities of the Northwestern Federal District received awards from the heads of the media and leading media structures of the Northwestern Federal District, representatives of the executive authorities, and professional communities.
The Clinic of Communication Projects received a special diploma "SeZaM" for organising a summer field practice. Ten students in the academic programmes in "Journalism" and "Advertising and Public Relations" had a practice in the publishing houses in the Arkhangelsk Region. The geography of the practice included the towns of Kotlas, Velsk, the capital city of the region Arkhangelsk, and the representative office of the region in St Petersburg. Students wrote journalistic and PR texts; made films; and created media projects.
The results of the project were summed up in September last year. The representatives of the administration of the University, the Arkhangelsk Region, and students gathered in the House of Journalists. This year, the University students will also do internships in the North. The Solovetsky Islands will be added to the places in the Arkhangelsk Region where students can have practical training.

The creative contest "SeZaM" is aimed at identifying the best journalists and the best journalistic projects of the Northwestern Federal District. The winners are determined by a professional jury that is headed by Pavel Gusev, Editor-in-Chief of the Moskovskij Komsomolets newspaper and a member of the presidential council for the development of civil society and human rights. The grand public jury of the contest is headed by Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the Hermitage Museum. It determines the social significance of the projects.
