The Grand Prix in the nomination "Best State Clinic": Pirogov Clinic at St Petersburg University
The Pirogov Clinic of High Medical Technologies at St Petersburg University is among the top 3 best state clinics in St Petersburg, according to the results of public opinion polls among patients. It is the only medical institution in Russia to take two prizes out of three prizes in its nomination.
According to the results of the competition, two hospitals that offer inpatient care at the St Petersburg University Clinic were recognised as the best in the rankings of state medical institutions in St Petersburg. They are the hospitals on Fontanka and on Kadetskaia Line. Third place went to the Maksimilianovskaya hospital of the St Petersburg State Autonomous Healthcare Institution "Polyclinic No 81."
Every year, the largest Internet-aggregator "ProDoctorov," where patients post their feedback, holds a competition among state, private and dental clinics in Russia. The best three clinics in each nomination are selected based on a thorough analysis of all the aggregator’s reviews for the year. Last year, about half a million patients from 72 regions of Russia posted their reviews on the ProDoctorov website.
The hospitals with multidisciplinary healthcare team at the St Petersburg University Clinic on Fontanka and Kadetskaia Line perform complex high-tech operations in oncology, cardiac surgery, paediatric and adult traumatology, urology, surgery, endocrine surgery, and gynaecology. They use cutting-edge technologies, latest technological innovations in healthcare. The hospitals have installed and regularly purchase modern equipment to provide modern high-tech medical care. These hospitals have patients from Russia and abroad.
Today, the St Petersburg University Clinic is a recognised flagship among medical institutions. According to Dmitry Shkarupa, Director of the St Petersburg University Clinic, winning the competition is the result of following the right vector of development of the clinic. High quality of services, the introduction of innovative technologies into practice, and the performance of complex operations is already the standard of a modern medical institution, said Dmitry Shkarupa.
Yet, it is not enough for the team of the St Petersburg University Clinic. What they are engaged in now is they immerse patients in a convenient ecosystem of services: applications, a personal account for assessing the dynamics of the condition, and an option for comfortable hospitalisation with online preparation of documents. For doctors, we are developing our own AI projects to optimise their work.
