Over 17,000 people visit the stand of St Petersburg University at the 56th Moscow International Exhibition
On the eve of St Petersburg University’s 300th anniversary, St Petersburg University for the first time has taken part in the Moscow International Exhibition "Education and Career". It is one of the largest educational events in Russia.
The stand of the University presented a single space of opportunities in the field of education, research, and career. In total, the event brought together about 100 universities of the largest cities and regions across Russia.
The University offered expert consultations on degree and non-degree programmes, electronic educational resources, online courses, admission requirements, and retraining programmes. There was emphasis on interaction between the University and employers and a clinical approach to education. The Linguistic Clinic offered a functional test in the Russian language. The Clinic of Communication Projects held a series of career guidance tests and workshops. The sociologists introduced the results of the research to the guests.
The Lingvera team, which won the SPbU Start-up 2022 contest, presented their achievements. The University students developed an aggregator application for foreigners and hearing impaired people to quickly find specialists in interpreting, translation, and sign language translation among the University students. The visitors could try the application during the exhibition.
The St Petersburg University History Museum held a quiz on knowledge of the history of the oldest university in Russia to mark its 300th anniversary. The Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, presented a VR tour of the Mikhailovskaya Dacha campus at the exhibition.
The exhibition "Education and Career" is one of the largest events in the field of employment and education in Russia and beyond. The event is supported by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; the Ministry of Industry and Trade; and the Government of Moscow.
