Petropolitan Science (Re)Search: registration for the 7th season of the Open International Olympiad of St Petersburg University among university students and young professionals
In the 2022/2023 academic year, the Petropolitan Science (Re)Search Olympiad will be held in 17 areas. Among those who can take part in the Olympiad are: students; doctoral students; and university graduates. Registration and the qualifying round will be held in a distance format and will last until 28 February 2023.
To participate in the qualifying round, you are required to: log in your personal account of the participant in the Olympiad; select an area of interest; and complete a task before 28 February 2023, i.e. submit a research paper or solve the tasks of the contest. You can participate in as many areas as you want. Yet, only one-time participation is possible in each area.
The Petropolitan Science (Re)Search Olympiad is set to support talented young professionals who have in-depth knowledge and broad scientific outlook. Winners and prize-takers can receive benefits for admission to St Petersburg University master’s and doctoral programmes in 2023. You can get up to 100 additional points as individual achievements, depending on the area.

Petropolitan Science (Re)Search is included in the list of activities approved by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation to provide grants to persons enrolled in master’s programmes at higher education institutions and scientific organisations in the 2023/2024 academic year.
