Regulations for admission to clinical residency programmes for 2021 entry
For 2021 entry, St Petersburg University has 94 government-funded places and over 300 places on a fee-paying basis for the clinical residency programmes.
The admissions process for 2021 entry to the clinical residency programmes is expected to run from 1 July 2021. Admissions deadline is 18:00 Moscow time on 11 August 2021.
St Petersburg University offers main clinical residency programmes in 28 specialities. You can find a full list of the specialities and information on the number of places at the website of the Admissions Committee of St Petersburg University. You can only apply to two specialities.
Decisions on acceptance for study to the main clinical residency programmes are to be made based on the results of the admissions test that uses the tasks from the Single Base of Assessment Tools formed by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. If you have individual achievements, you can score additional points for entry. Among the individual achievements can be: research publications; diplomas of the winner or awardee of the Olympiads for students; and work experience in a position of a healthcare worker or a pharmacist. In 2021, the winners and awardees of the inter-disciplinary contest ‘SPbU Startup’ for students and postgraduate students can also score additional points for entry.
