St Petersburg Pirogov Clinic of High Medical Technologies
Health care specialists, science communicators, editors, researchers, and developers are involved in the platform activities. The founders of the Foundation believe that the service will make the lives of people facing cancer less frightening as both suspected and diagnosed oncological diseases raise many questions. The platform's experts are ready to give such comprehensive answers as requested by patients.
There is an opportunity to undergo the online test that makes it possible to reveal the risk of cancer and will develop an individualised preventive programme for each visitor. More than 400,000 people have already taken the advantage of the service. Besides, a service of free consultations with specialists is available under the title 'Just Ask'. One more 'Onco Wiki' section is a collection of the most recent data in lay terms that is constantly updated by the best oncologists, educators, and alumni of the Graduate School of Oncology. One more online 'Profilaktika.Media' resource has been launched with the content on oncology and evidence-based medicine: doctors' columns; patients' stories; reviews of the myths that come side by side with a cancer diagnosis; and guidelines for screening and preventive measures.
The Cancer Preventive Foundation platform will be helpful not only for patients and their relatives but also all users as its goal, among others, is to educate the general public and prevent oncological diseases. I am very excited to be part of the team.
