St Petersburg University hosts an event to teach students how to prevent HIV/AIDS
Within the healthcare event for students, several online and on campus activities have taken place at St Petersburg University. Among them were: a meeting of the ‘Infectious diseases’ Student Scientific Society; the contest on HIV/AIDS designed in the form of the ‘Svoya Igra’ (‘Own Game’) intellectual show; a training session for the University teams of powerlifters; and preparation training for students-volunteers.
Additionally, at their streaming lectures, first- and second-year students took part in an informative-interactive quiz presentation that gave a deep insight into the human immunodeficiency virus. Students also received information about express HIV test laboratories in St Petersburg.
The All-Russian event ‘Stop HIV/AIDS’ aims to disseminate knowledge among secondary school and university students about the threats imposed by HIV/AIDS and combat stigmatising HIV-positive individuals.
