St Petersburg University launches online course series on ESG transformation of companies in the face of new challenges
Global events and megatrends of recent years − digital transformation, de-globalisation, the climate agenda, the COVID-19 pandemic − influence all spheres of our lives, including setting the vector for transformation and long-term business development. A series of online courses from St Petersburg University will help you understand how to switch to the best technologies and use them to develop your company.
ESG (environmental, social, governance) is an acronym that stands for sustainable business development based on three principles: environmental responsibility, high social responsibility, and high quality corporate governance. To learn more about how to implement them in today’s challenging environment, a series of courses is available: "Circular Economy and the Climate Agenda"; "Shaping the ESG Principles of Companies as a Response to Global Challenges"; and "ESG Transformation of Companies: Strategy and Tactics".
The three courses provide a broad overview of theory and practice on radical changes in the way companies operate in their relationship with society, the economy and the environment in the face of increasing global environmental concerns and the digitalisation of the economy. Students will learn about: the principles of company development; extended producer responsibility; closed supply chains; circular production models; and how to improve business innovation and competitiveness in the long term.
To acquire practical skills, students will analyse: calculation problems and real life cases; new legal and regulatory documentation; up-to-date information; and statistical data.
The course programme is designed not only for students, but also for managers who face real business challenges and wish to improve their skills in ESG strategy management.
