A virtual tour of St Petersburg University: a video tour of Russia’s oldest university on the Znanie Society platform
The St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2022 (SPIEF 2022) featured a lecture-guided tour of St Petersburg University. The viewers of the virtual tour visited the Petrovsky Hall, walked through the corridor of the Twelve Collegia building and relaxed in the University’s Botanical Garden.
The video tour was moderated by Anastasia Yarmosh, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Partnership of St Petersburg University. The tour provides an opportunity to view the University at three points in time: past, present and future. After getting acquainted with the history of the alma mater of many of the country’s well-known scientists and scholars, tour participants will also learn what St Petersburg University is doing today and what the priority areas for the future development of Russia’s oldest university are.
The Russian Society "Znanie" presented an interactive studio at SPIEF 2022, which became an open platform for video tours. The virtual lectures and tours focused on current social, economic, cultural and historical issues discussed at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
‘We have always worked for the future, which is why our main vector is to prepare students to soar to new scientific heights. We have state-of-the-art laboratories, equipped with high quality equipment, where University students and scientists work under modern conditions for the modern world and the future of the country,’ said Anastasia Yarmosh, Vice Rector for Strategic Development and Partnership at St Petersburg University.
The virtual tour is provided with short texts and illustrations that focus viewers’ attention on key aspects of the tour.
