Programme description
Main areas of research:
- Development of spatial and temporal models of the geological evolution of regions and analysis of the regularities of changes in the composition and structure of sedimentary, volcanogenic-sedimentary, magmatic and ore formations
- Study of the relationship between magmatism, metamorphism and ore mineralisation Geochemical specialisation of magmas, petrological factors in the formation of ore concentrations and criteria for assessing the ore-bearing capacity of magmatic complexes
- Genetic mineralogy, study of mineral paragenesis and evolution of mineralogenesis in natural and anthropogenic systems
- Experimental mineralogy
- Crystallography and crystallochemistry of minerals, their industry-induced and synthetic analogues
- Theory and methods of estimating quantities, states and forms of chemical elements and their isotopes in nature
- Development of principles and methods of physicochemical modelling of geochemical systems and processes, methods of mathematical processing of geochemical data and mathematical modelling of geochemical processes
- Geodynamic and geological conditions of ore formation and evolution of ore formation processes in the Earth’s history. Epochs of ore formation, geochronology of deposits and duration of ore-forming processes, the problem of formation of large and unique deposits
- Relationship with magmatism, metamorphism and sedimentation
