- The programme is suitable for a wide range of professionals. Students will master the theory and methodology of language teaching, become acquainted with the specific needs of language teaching in higher education and current trends in the methodology of language teaching for professional and research purposes
- The programme is designed for students with a Bachelor’s degree and an English language proficiency of at least level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Graduates of this programme will be competitive in the Russian higher education labour market and will be sought after by non-linguistic universities and non-linguistic departments of Russian universities
- This programme will provide language departments of non-linguistic universities with highly qualified teachers of professionally-oriented foreign languages. The unique feature of this programme is that it focuses on teaching a foreign language to an adult audience, taking into account the language needs of the workplace
- Graduates will be able to successfully teach foreign languages at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate level. Graduates will also be able to teach adult learners in corporate language training and other types of training programmes

As part of their studies, students undertake pedagogical practice in the teaching of a specialised foreign language. It can also take the form of developing a course or programme of study in a vocational foreign language, developing language tests and testing instruments, and developing teaching and methodological products of a practical nature.
