Our advantages
  • At present, there are practically no academic programmes in Russia that train experts in two unrelated foreign languages who are capable of equally efficiently solving job tasks in such strategically important areas of global communications for our country
  • The strength of the programme is the linguistic and communication issues in the context of the dialogue of languages and cultures to the extent necessary for: practical professional activity in the field of interlingual and intercultural mediation; and the further continuation of these studies while pursuing education in master’s programmes
  • The programme combines a university-like wide range of disciplines with an elaborate system of practices and practical training. This makes it possible to: shape the broad outlook that distinguishes graduates of the St Petersburg school of linguistics; and acquire professional competencies necessary for fruitful career in the field of interlingual and intercultural mediation
  • There is an opportunity to gain officially recognised professional qualifications in translation/interpreting and teaching, opening up new career prospects without incurring additional financial or time costs during the course of study.
