All-Russian creative competition named after L. Verbitskaya
St Petersburg University holds the All-Russian creative competition named after L. Verbitskaya for international students studying the Russian language.
Judges of the contest will assess students’ skills in reading poetry of Russian authors aloud (recitation), singing songs based on poetry of Russian authors in Russian in the video format.
The aim of the competition is to strengthen interest in studying the Russian language, promote the Russian culture, improve general level of Russian among international students, develop their creative potential and memorialize former Rector of SPbU L. Verbitskaya (1936–2019).
The competition will be held in the online format. International students studying in universities of Russia as well as students from far abroad and the CIS countries whose mother tongue is not Russian are welcomed to submit an application for participation in the competition.
Official awarding ceremony is planned to be held in the mixed format (offline and on Zoom). Winners and awardees of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts, and participants will receive certificates of participation.
Schedule:
- February 1, 2023 — May 15, 2023 ‒ accepting applications and videos
- May 16, 2023 — June 10, 2023 — evaluation of videos and selection of the winners
- June 17, 2023 ‒ results announcement
- June 19, 2023 — final
