Concert by the St Petersburg University Academic Choir
The choir was founded by a group of amateur singers who were former members of the Academic Choir of Students of Leningrad State University. The students decided to continue their choral activities in memory of their former artistic director, Grigory Moiseevich Sandler, the creator and long-time conductor of the Student Choir of Leningrad State University (now St Petersburg University).
The ensemble regularly performs at various venues in St Petersburg. For several years the choir has been a regular participant in the "Nevsky Choral Assemblies," striving to preserve and improve the best choral traditions of the St Petersburg Choral School.
The choir’s repertoire includes nearly 100 works of Russian and foreign choral classics, as well as contemporary choral music.
