Development of exploratory behaviour at school age

The SPbU Representative Office in Spain invites you to the online lecture "Development of exploratory behaviour at school age". The lecture will be given by Leonid Iliushin, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Pedagogy at St Petersburg University.
Curiosity is an evolutionary property of the human brain. It manifests itself almost immediately after birth and persists throughout life. As it develops, curiosity gradually turns into inquisitiveness — a general interest in the world around us. At a young age, when a child’s personality is being formed, the drive to acquire new knowledge and skills is extremely important. The level of curiosity affects not only the quality of education, but also an individual’s standard of living. By encouraging students to engage in exploratory behaviour and helping them to experience it in a positive way, we are addressing one of the school’s main educational goals. How can we develop this useful trait and make learning fun? We’ll find out during our lecture on 14 November.
