The Eurasian Arc of Instability and Regional Security Challenges from East Asia to North Africa: Geopolitical Outcomes of 2024
In light of the escalating international tensions along key segments of the Eurasian arc of instability, St Petersburg University is pleased to announce the XV annual international conference, "The Eurasian Arc of Instability and Regional Security Challenges from East Asia to North Africa: Geopolitical Outcomes of 2024." The conference will bring together leading Russian scholars, representatives of relevant government agencies, and invited foreign experts.
The conference aims to examine a wide range of factors influencing security systems in key regions along the Eurasian arc of instability. Special attention will be given to the interplay between global and regional actors, geopolitical rivalries, territorial disputes, the resulting arms race, and the tools used to orchestrate controlled regional destabilisation and the profound reshaping of geo-cultural spaces.
As is tradition, the conference will feature an interactive map of the Eurasian arc of instability, providing a visual representation of the primary security threats.
