Galina Zhukova piano recital
On 19 December, St Petersburg University will host a piano recital dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the University. The International competition winner Galina Zhukova will perform works by Glinka, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Gavrilin and Slonimsky.
Galina Zhukova is a graduate of the St Petersburg State Conservatory and a student of renowned pedagogues, including maestro Aquiles Delle Vigne. Her repertoire includes classical pieces by Beethoven, Liszt, Debussy, as well as contemporary compositions by St Petersburg composers.
She has collaborated with the Mariinsky Orchestra, Princeton Symphony Orchestra, and other renowned ensembles. Since 2007, she has been teaching at St Petersburg University, where she is also a PhD in Philosophy.
