How to introduce a book to children to make them want to read it
St Petersburg University and its Representative Office in Barcelona invite you to the online lecture "How to introduce a book to children to make them want to read it". During the lecture, you will learn about different ways of motivation based on the theory of multiple intelligences. The lecture will be delivered by Tatiana Galaktionova, Doctor of Pedagogy.
Nowadays, children do not like reading at all. We can argue for a long time whether it’s the parents, the Internet or fascinating mobile apps that are to blame, but the fact remains. How can you help your child overcome their lack of interest in literature and foster a love of books?
Books have always been considered a source of knowledge, an essential component of a complete education and upbringing. Reading shapes the mind, helps build vocabulary, promotes language learning and develops imagination. Working with books is an essential part of any teaching and learning process. How can we help children not just concentrate on reading, but become truly engrossed in literature? At what age is it best to start reading books with children? What should be done to make reading associated only with pleasant emotions? You will learn about all this during our lecture on 13 June.
