Magnetic resonance and its applications — 2025
St Petersburg University will hold the conference "Spinus — 2025: Magnetic resonance and its applications", which will bring together more than 130 established and early-career researchers solving scientific problems related to the use of magnetic resonance methods.
Magnetic resonance research has long been interdisciplinary. It is widely used not only in fundamental science, but also in applied fields related to physics, chemistry, medicine, biology, archaeology, food and pharmaceutical industries. Spinus Conference is a unique platform for early-career researchers, undergraduates and postgraduates to learn and discuss achievements in the field of magnetic resonance methods and techniques. It is a good place to share their own results and find like-minded people for new projects
The scientific programme will include sectional meetings, poster sessions, and lectures by leading scientists working at universities and research laboratories around the world. Among the main speakers are the following:
- Vladimir Chizhik, Honorary Professor of St Petersburg University, St Petersburg University, Russia
- Kev Salikhov, Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor of Kazan Federal University, Russia
- Elena Charnaya, Professor, Head of the Laboratory of Quantum Acoustics and Ultrasound Spectroscopy at St Petersburg University, Russia
- Carlos Cabal Mirabal, Professor of the University of Oriente — Santiago de Cuba, Leading Research Associate in the Cuban Neuroscience Center, Cuba
- Yury Bunkov, Professor at the Russian Quantum Centre, Moscow, Russia
- Sergey Dvinskikh, Professor of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden
- William Price, Professor of Western Sydney University, Australia
- Bin Xia, Professor of Peking University, China
The conference will include the following areas:
- modern trends in magnetic resonance (NMR, EPR and NQR)
- magnetic resonance for fundamental science
- magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
- computer modelling in magnetic resonance
- NMR in the Earth’s magnetic field
- magnetic resonance for industry
The working language of the conference is English.
