SPbU hosts weekly guided tours of the Mineralogical Museum.
Explore the museum’s rich collection of diverse rocks and minerals, stunning in their perfect shapes and natural colours. Learn about the field of mineralogy, how and why humans create synthetic mineral analogues, and the composition and mineral types found in meteorites.
See samples from the memorial collections of famous scientists, including the unique collection of Dmitri Mendeleev. Hear the story of how a collection of diamonds from South Africa helped to discover the first diamond deposit in Russia.
