St Petersburg’s creative spaces
St Petersburg University and its Representative Office in Barcelona invite you to an online lecture dedicated to St Petersburg’s creative spaces as crucial elements of the social and cultural life of the modern city. The lecture will be delivered by Anastasiia Babaeva, Assistant Professor of St Petersburg University.
Recently, creative spaces have become an integral part of the modern urban environment, offering many forms of cultural and sports leisure, opportunities for creative self-expression, socialisation and promotion of original business projects. This urban phenomenon is relatively new for Russia, but it has already managed to bring changes in the cultural image of many of its cities, particularly St Petersburg.
What inspires their founders, and what kind of vernissages of contemporary artists take place not only inside but also outside these spaces?
