Iranian universities invite our students to take part in exchange programmes
St Petersburg University students have been invited to participate in academic mobility programmes with Sharif University of Technology in Iran.
Applications are being accepted from bachelor’s students in all fields, from Oriental Studies to Earth Sciences. For the 2019-2020 academic year, there is one spot available in the exchange programme, on a competitive basis, with room and board provided. During the autumn semester of this academic year, St Petersburg University has accepted an exchange student in Chemistry from Sharif University of Technology.
Sharif University of Technology was founded in 1966 and is one of Iran’s most prestigious vocational educational institutions in the twin fields of engineering and the physical sciences. In 2019, the university took 308th place in the QS World University Rankings for Engineering and Technology. It offers bachelor’s and master’s programmes, and also gives students an opportunity to defend a dissertation and receive a PhD. There are fourteen departments at the University, among others in the fields of aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering, chemical and petroleum engineering, management and economics, and physics.
