The master’s programme in Management enters the top 25 of the leading FT Global Masters in Management 2021

The master’s programme of the Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University (Master in Management – MiM) has been ranked 25th among the world’s top 100 master’s programmes according to the prestigious business publication Financial Times. The Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University remains the only Russia representative in this ranking.

World Ranking Financial Times Global Masters in Management 2021

For the first time the Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University entered the FT Global Masters in Management ranking in 2013, taking the 65th place. Over the past eight years, the MiM programme has managed to climb 40 positions in the ranking, thanks to the uniqueness of educational content and the support of alumni and corporate partners.

Academic partners of the Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University – the University of St Gallen (Switzerland) and HEC Paris (École des hautes études commerciales de Paris) – took first and second places in the top Masters in Management 2021. Other academic partners of the Graduate School of Management took the rankings next to it: 24th position is for the University of Mannheim Business School (Germany); and 26th is for Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

The Financial Times publishes the list of the world’s top 100 educational programmes. The publication compiles the ranking based on the analysis of data obtained from business schools and in the course of an anonymous survey of programme alumni. Only schools with at least one of the international accreditations can participate in the ranking: AACSB (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) or EQUIS (the EFMD Quality Improvement System). The Graduate School of Management of St Petersburg University has both accreditations. In total, 17 criteria are taken into account, covering: the assessment of the career growth of graduates; the gender and national diversity of the composition of students and teachers of the business school; the degree of international academic and career mobility; and the level of the school research.

One of the main indicators is the average salary of graduates three years after graduation. For the holder of the Graduate School of Management diploma, it is more than $70,000 per year. According to another important indicator – salary growth during the first three years after graduation – the School topped the ranking: graduates’ incomes have grown by 110% since graduation.

The Financial Times rankings are a recognised seal of excellence in business education.
