Roscongress Foundation, LLC Talenti and St Petersburg University conclude an agreement to implement joint social projects

The cooperation will focus on: career guidance and successful employment of students and young specialists; socialisation and adaptation of children and teenagers in complicated life circumstances; development of inclusive fields; as well as popularisation of the ideas of volunteering.

Our organisations are united by the desire to contribute efforts and resources to the solution of social and economic challenges in our country. The agreements signed today offer possibilities for the youth, people with disabilities, people in complicated life circumstances and those requiring help and support.

‘These agreements will be a great example and platform to develop cooperation of the state, universities, development institutions, profit and non-profit sector to respond to the current challenges in the social sphere,’ noted Aleksandr Struglev, Director of the Roscongress Foundation.

Joint work will be organised within the framework of two projects by the Roscongress Foundation: School Friend and RC-Skills. The first project will enable the University students to act as moderators and tutors in providing psychological support to children and teenagers as well as helping them to master the school curriculum, and organise and hold the events aimed at revealing their hidden talents.

The RC-Skills project is aimed at social and practical adaptation of disabled people to help them further integrate into the corporate culture of potential employers. At first, the specialists working on the project hold training courses. Then, they invite the candidates to take an internship, where they further develop the acquired skills. Upon completing the programme, the trainees have a possibility to get employed by the Foundation or receive a recommendation for employment in other institutions and companies.

St Petersburg University pays special attention to the support of socially vulnerable population groups. Our students of law offer free of charge legal support through the Legal Clinic, while future social workers continuously work with foster children in orphanages and care homes through the Sociological Clinic.

I believe that the cooperation of the Roscongress Foundation, LLC Talenti and St Petersburg University will enable us to implement many new large-scale projects in this field,’ said Elena Chernova, Senior Vice Rector of St Petersburg University.

The cooperation will also allow for the improvement of techniques of professional identification and human potential development with the use of the Country Potential digital platform created by LLC Talenti. The platform algorithm assesses the intellect, motivation, competences and psychological qualities of the person to further recommend a profession, career path and the way to develop their strengths as well as take an employment interview.
