SPbU among top 100 in brand-new QS World University Rankings: Business Master’s Rankings
The Quacquarelli Symonds has launched a brand-new university ranking that identifies the best business schools and universities for studying a master’s degree in management, finance, and business analytics. St Petersburg University is among the top universities: Corporate Finance and Management hold 69 and 83 positions correspondingly, while a joint degree programme CEMS MiM is in the 8th place.
Quacquarelli Symonds is a British company specialising in education and study abroad and publishes various university rankings. This year, it has launched a brand-new university ranking that identifies the best business schools and universities for studying a master’s degree in management, finance, and business analytics. These rankings will be compiled using different metrics.
SPbU Graduate School of Management was founded in 1993 in collaboration with Haas School of Business, or Berkeley Haas. Since 2013, the master’s programmes offered by the Graduate School of Management has been continuously improving their performance in the Financial Times rankings and the Economist rankings. In 2017, Management was in the 23rd place among the best 95 programmes in management, according to the Financial Times Global Masters in Management.
The new rankings highlight various aspects of how the programmes are successfully implemented and can help students, along with the Financial Times and the Economist rankings, to choose a course in business. These rankings will be compiled using such metrics as employability, entrepreneurship, alumni success, return on investment, thought leadership and class and faculty diversity.
Quacquarelli Symonds gains information directly from the universities or open sources. The only exception is Alumni Success: Quacquarelli Symonds analysed the programmes whose graduates were included in the Forbes 2000. Both SPbU’s programmes are rated relatively higher than similar programmes in Europe. Corporate Finance has 48.4 points (an average of 40.5), while Management 40.3 (an average of 35.2).
The best indicator of high-quality education is definitely alumni success.
