SPbU participates in the St Petersburg International Scientific and Educational Salon
St Petersburg University is taking part in the International Scientific and Educational Salon, which opened 28 November in St Petersburg. The University presents its scientific achievements, educational programmes, and research projects. The main theme of this year’s Salon is the 300th anniversary of university education in Russia.
The opening ceremony will include the presentation of the exhibition «From Students to the City» and the awarding of badges with the honorary title "Honoured Worker of Higher Education of St Petersburg". The plenary session of the Salon is dedicated to professional education, science and innovation in the XXI century.
The University’s stand will host the opening ceremony of a new clinic — the SPbU Centre for Creative Technologies in International Relations. The event will be attended by Marina Lavrikova, SPbU Senior Vice-Rector for Academic Activities, Irina Novikova, Dean of the SPbU School of International Relations, Maya Rusakova, Head of the SPbU Working Group for the Development of Clinical Approaches, Roman Liseyev, Head of the SPbU Centre for Creative Technologies in International Relations, and other guests. The new clinic aims to develop students’ information literacy and communication skills, increase their competitiveness in the labour market and conduct research in various branches of the creative economy abroad.
The event is organised by the St. Petersburg Government on 28-30 November as part of the Decade of Science and Technology proclaimed by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation under the auspices of the St Petersburg Week of Science and Professional Education. The Salon is held together with the St Petersburg Congress «Professional Education, Science and Innovation in the XXI Century». Admission to the events is free.
The stand of St Petersburg University will also present new educational programmes, online courses, achievements and developments of scientists. In the interactive events area, SPbU specialists and students will be running career guidance games and masterclasses for all visitors.
Students from the Linguistic Clinic conduct functional testing in the Russian language, and students from the Communication Projects Clinic use tests to help build a personal brand and identify professional burnout and how to manage it.
