St Petersburg University listed in the 'Golden League' of the Round University Ranking (RUR) in life sciences
St Petersburg University has moved up 27 positions in the Round University Ranking (RUR) in life sciences and moved from the Silver League to the Golden League. At present, St Petersburg University is ranked 192nd among the world top universities in this area.
The RUR Subject Ranking evaluates the performance of more than 800 of the world's top universities in six broad subject areas: humanities; life sciences; medical sciences; natural sciences; technical sciences; and social sciences. It should be noted that St Petersburg University is second only to Lomonosov Moscow State University among Russian educational institutions in life sciences
For reference: the World University Ranking RUR was published last spring, in which St Petersburg University is listed among the world top 100 universities in the Teaching ranking. According to the methodology established by the compilers of the ranking, the universities in this group are defined as ‘Diamond’. In other nominations of this ranking, St Petersburg University registers an improvement of its positions in the world lists.
The Round University Ranking is an international university ranking published by RUR Rankings Agency in partnership with an international company Clarivate Analytics. The ranking assesses the performance of several hundred top universities according to 20 indicators that measure four areas of university activity: teaching; research; international diversity; and financial sustainability.
