St Petersburg University volleyball players are bronze medallists of the international tournament in China
The national team of St Petersburg University has secured third place in the women’s international student volleyball tournament. It was organised to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Harbin Engineering University.
The tournament included athletes from several universities, such as Harbin Engineering University, Beihang University, St Petersburg University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Peter the Great St Petersburg Polytechnic University, and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. The event took place in the province of Heilongjiang in China.
The team of St Petersburg University included students Anna Andreeva (2nd-year student in the ‘General Medicine’ programme), Alena Valentik-Levitskaia (3rd-year student in the "Physical Training and Sport" programme), Elizaveta Iskanderova (1st-year student in the "Economics" programme), Alena Maltseva (2nd-year student in the "Physical Training and Sport" programme), Elizaveta Pavlova (2nd-year student in the "Physical Training and Sport" programme), Mariia Pechenko (1st-year student, ‘Physical Training and Sport’ degree programme), Dariia Presnova (1st-year student in the "Physical Training and Sport" programme), and Daria Charushnikova (2nd-year student in the "Political Science" programme).
Harbin Engineering University, one of China’s leading engineering universities, is a partner of St Petersburg University. The universities have had a cooperation agreement in the academic sphere since 2018.
