The Youth Labour Forum opens at the University
How to identify and explore your potential career opportunities, crisis points, and areas of growth? What is the role of a mentor in different career fields? How to come up with a successful start-up project and build an implementation plan? These are the issues that are discussed at the 7th International Youth Labour Forum, which has started at St Petersburg University.
At the plenary session, representatives of large companies, personnel agencies, and public sector will identify current trends related to the changes in the landscape of the Russian labour market. The departure of most foreign corporations has also affected job seekers and employers. The participants will discuss an issue of what new rules young people will have to adapt to.
There is a special emphasis on ignorance of labour legislation. Due to the lack of employment experience, young professionals run the risk of being employed by unscrupulous employers and may miss out on promising career opportunities. Experts at the Committee for Labour and Employment in St Petersburg will help students get a better understanding of the legal aspects of employment and dispel myths about the legal issues they have to consider during the hiring process.
Representatives of companies, trainers, and psychologists will talk about networking and career planning. They will also discuss how to choose a career field; how to get motivated at work; and cope with job burnout. Additionally, they teach you how to solve cases on using artificial intelligence to solve your problems at work and apply approaches from product management for self-realisation.
