Programme description
- The relevance of the master’s programme is determined by: rise of traditionalism (neo-traditionalism) in Asian and African studies and importance of examining this phenomenon. The programme focuses on studying cultures of Asian and African countries with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approach
- The programme is aimed to train students capable to carry out analysis of the interaction between "tradition" and "innovation" at various levels of the socio-cultural system and its aspects (economic, social, political, legal, etc.) for better understanding of specifics of the East evolution and mechanisms for modernization under the influence of internal and external factors
- The curriculum focuses on socio-cultural anthropology with an emphasis on traditional cultures, taking into account the latest scientific research results of foreign and domestic anthropologists
