The programme is designed to train managers in Big Data analysis with a strong technological background.
This programme is primarily aimed at STEM applicants or at those with some experience in analytics / IT who want to expand their knowledge of data analysis and management tools in order to build a management career in data management, including in international markets.

- The programme is aimed at developing fundamental knowledge in the field of management as well as modern analytical tools used to solve managerial problems. Alumni will possess practical skills and methods for processing big data and applying analytical tools in solving managerial tasks. We teach our students like future managers in advanced analytics, rather than programmers or pure data scientists.
- Technology platform. Using a cloud-based platform to dive into the specifics of modern big data analytics solutions allows students to explore the modern stack of Big Data / ML / AI solutions technologies. The computing resources of the platform are also involved in the implementation of the graduation project and other tasks on the industrial data of partner companies.
- The programme provides technology courses on the development and implementation of machine learning models, courses on working with big data and their visualization. For more efficient entry into the learning process, the program provides introductory courses «Development Essentials» and «Management Essentials».
- All courses of the programme are implemented with the participation of employees of the leading Russian and international companies. For example, the number of MiBA professors include the heads of Data Science and Data Governance projects of “Yandex”, “Odnoklassniki”, “JetBrains”, and “VTB”. In addition, guest lectures are a traditional practice in the process of studying on the programme.
- For the successful completion of the program as part of the Master programme's graduation project, it is supposed to implement a full-cycle project in the field of big data analysis using the example of a real company or a state corporation. This is a unique element of the program, thanks to which the alumnus or alumna, after completing his or her studies, will have not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills in the implementation of interdisciplinary projects.

- As a graduation project, students complete a group project in teams of two to three people and solve real business problems provided by partner companies. Company representatives supervise and advise the project team and provide all necessary materials and data.
Double degree programme is temporarily suspended.
Students of the programme can take part in a double degree programme with Lappeenranta-Lahti University of Technology (Finland).
