Russian Business in Global Economy and Eurasian Integration

Programme description
  • "Russian Business in Global Economy and Eurasian Integration" academic programme provides students with the unique analytical and managerial skills needed to build successful business career in Russia, the CIS countries, the EEU and other countries, including the PRC. Graduates can equally successfully pursue professional activities in national and regional bodies, international organizations that promote integration and ensure the development of entrepreneurship in the global economy in the context of its digitalization
  • The programme is implemented jointly with the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member states (IPA CIS) on the basis of the cooperation agreement concluded between the IPA CIS and St Petersburg  University, agreements signed by the IPA CIS with international organizations (UN, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development), and with the participation of the the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Collective Security Treaty Organization Member states (CSTO PA). St Petersburg University academicians, along with specialists of a number of international organizations including the Secretariat of the IPA CIS, the Secretariat of the CSTO PA and the State Duma of the Russian Federation take part in the implementation of the educational programme
  • The programme was designed with a focus on international educational standards to develop national and international specialists with analytical and managerial skills who are able to work in the conditions of the formation of a digital economy:

  • in the Russian companies considering the priority of participation in EEU; in the CIS countries, the EEU countries, China and other Eurasian countries businesses focused on cooperation with the companies of the Russian Federation and other EEU countries
  • in government bodies, international, national and regional organizations, political parties and public associations (with the prospect of taking leadership positions) in the context of deepening integration cooperation in the Eurasia
  • in scientific and educational organizations
  • The programme provides a wide range of business management competencies in the context of deepening integration cooperation, a creative approach to learning, training of researchers and business analysts and mastering intercultural communication skills. The acquired competencies can form the basis for continuing professional development to scientific and pedagogical personnel in postgraduate studies in Russian and foreign universities.

  • The programme is designed to train highly qualified next-generation specialists who can: build effective business strategies; meet the challenges faced by governments, companies, EEU bodies in the areas of macroeconomic, competition and energy policy, functioning of natural monopolies, government and municipal procurement, mutual trade in services and investments, labor migration etc
  • The programme is interdisciplinary in nature and implemented in cooperation with leading experts of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, international organizations, including the Secretariat of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member states (IPA CIS) and the Parliamentary Assembly of Collective Security Treaty Organization Member states (CSTO PA), highly qualified specialists in the field of global economics, marketing and management, digital economics and business economics, innovation economics and modern economic theory
  • The programme is led by Professor M. Krotov, Doctor of Economics. Professor Krotov has long been Secretary General of the IPA CIS and held senior positions in the Russian State Duma
  • Specialists of the Programme Academic Council, the Russian State Duma, International Business representatives provide expert and consulting assistance in updating the curriculum
  • The programme was developed on the basis of the Educational Standard of Higher Education of St Petersburg University
