Programme description
- The Bachelor’s programme "Italian Language, Literature and Translation" trains professionals in the fields of intercultural and interlingual communication, translation and Italian language teaching
- Graduates receive a thorough philological and linguistic education in the spirit of the carefully preserved traditions of the St. Petersburg School of Linguistics, which allows them not only to continue their studies in their chosen field, but also to successfully solve specific professional tasks in various fields of activity, to master the skills of bilateral translation of texts of various styles and subjects, and of interpreting — from Russian into Italian and from Italian into Russian
- Graduates will have a professional command of several foreign languages, extensive knowledge of the culture of the target languages and regions, in-depth knowledge of linguistics and the humanities in general
- The programme is suitable for candidates with a secondary school education or equivalent; no previous knowledge of Italian is required
