St Petersburg University has different types of research funding opportunities. This section provides detailed information about SPbU projects that can be funded.
One of our top priorities is the implementation of SPbU own programmes to support science and research. In 2013 and 2014 we ran the competition of SPbU megagrant programmes. This resulted in the creation of nine science and research laboratories headed by leading Russian and international scholars.
SPbU is the first university of Russia to introduce a postdoctoral programme (postdoctoral grants). Launched in 2013, the programme has been a success. It aims to provide young researchers with an opportunity to work under the supervision of SPbU principal investigators. The programme welcomes Russian and international postdocs. So far the programme has attracted young researchers from Germany, Spain, Canada, China, Lithuania, Morocco, Ukraine, and France.
