Chitin incunabula
Exhibition "Chitin incunabula" by Stas Kazimov.
Stas Kazimov is a well-known St Petersburg artist, a member of the Union of Artists, and a participant in many Russian and foreign exhibitions. He works in various engraving techniques. The main idea in Kazimov’s works is a concept "all printing", i.e. the printing of any objects, not only engraving matrices, on everything, not just on paper. The artist uses wood, canvas, porcelain, fabric, and books as the carrier of the imprint.
The exhibition will feature 10 books (the so-called artist’s books or artbooks), created in a single copy and illustrated by the author, a series of engravings. The series is underpinned by the artist’s impressions of the decoration elements of the facade and interior of Vladimir Nabokov’s house, large-format engraving, and art objects.
