Exhibition of students from the St Petersburg Art Lyceum
The Boris Johanson St Petersburg State Academic Art Lyceum, part of the Russian Academy of Arts, is the leading Russian institution for children’s secondary vocational education with the focus on fine arts.
Graduates of the Art School have become renowned Soviet and Russian artists and sculptors, People’s Artists of the USSR and RSFSR, Heroes of Socialist Labour, academicians and vice-presidents of the Academy of Arts, laureates of state prizes, and authors of widely recognised works. In the 1960s-1980s, graduates of the Art School formed the core of the teaching staff of the Repin Institute of Arts.
The exhibition will showcase works by students from various years of the lyceum. This marks the third exhibition of lyceum students within the historic confines of St Petersburg University.
