The SPbU Herbarium offers weekly guided tours set in the beautiful interiors of the late 19th century, where you can learn more about the history of botany and the St Petersburg University.

Herbarium, one of the oldest herbaria in Russia. You will discover the significance of herbaria in science and botanical illustration, and the role that plants have played and continue to play in human life. You will see herbarium specimens from different centuries and learn about the process of their creation.

The Herbarium also hosts unique models by Brendel: flowers, inflorescences, morphological structures of mosses, algae, and conifers. This distinctive "educational construction kit" from the 19th century is not only a museum treasure but also continues to serve in the education of students.
