In 1881, the eldest daughter of Dmitri Mendeleev and Anna, his second wife, was born. Lyubov Mendeleeva, a talented actress and historian of Russian ballet and classical dance, was destined to become the Beautiful Lady of Silver Age Poetry. Sung in verse by her husband Alexander Blok, Lyubov Mendeleeva was looking for her own path in life and art. She was a student of the famous Bestuzhev Courses. After graduation, she studied acting skills mentored by Alexandra Chitau, an actress at the Alexandrinsky Theatre. She was part of the troupe of Vsevolod Meyerhold at the Komissarzhevskaya Theatre. She also acted on the provincial stage. Later, she devoted herself to studying the history of classical dance, collecting materials on the history of ballet. Lyubov Mendeleeva studied the Vaganova method. She also gave acting lessons. Theatre was an imperious attraction for her throughout her whole life. In her last years, Lyubov Mendeleeva worked on a book on the history of ballet, which was never published.
