"Theory of Everything": a new science media project by St Petersburg University
St Petersburg University invites bachelor, master and postgraduate students, as well as, young researchers to take part in the first episode of a new science show Theory of Everything.
This project aims to create a platform for dialogue, where university faculty and students to share insights on scientific achievements and explore the future of science.
The first episode of the show will focus on chemistry. The guest of the show will be Irina Timofeeva, a Professor at SPbU, Member of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education of the Presidential Council of the Russian Federation for Science and Education, winner of the Russian President’s Prize in Science and Innovation for Young Scientists.
Participants will have an opportunity to learn more about I. Timofeeva’s career path and research journey, as well as engage in discussions on cutting-edge topics in chemistry, including:
- The role of artificial intelligence in modern science,
- The contribution of chemical analysis to extending life expectancy,
- The prospects of replacing traditional fuels with alternative energy sources.
The project’s creator and host is Roman Gerasimov, a member of the Russian Television Academy, winner of TEFI, the national television award, Head of informational projects at RBC St Petersburg (RosBusinessConsulting media group), and an alumnus of St Petersburg University.

The project bridges theoretical knowledge and practical applications, translating complex scientific concepts into accessible language.
