Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University is the best business school in Russia and leader in EdUniversal Ranking 2024
The Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) has regained its status as a universal business school with global international influence and received five palms of excellence from the EdUniversal evaluation agency. The Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University has been a leader in the EdUniversal world ranking since 2012, maintaining this position for 12 consecutive years, and is ranked first among business schools in Russia.
All five palmes of excellence in the Russian Federation are awarded only to the Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University (GSOM SPbU) and Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School, while the indicators of the Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University in this ranking and the ranking of reviews are nearly twice as high. According to the ranking methodology, the number of palmes reflects the level of international reputation of an educational institution, ranging from local (one palme) to strong international influence (five palmes). Only 10% of schools included in the EdUniversal ranking can receive all five palms.
Every year, business schools from nine geographical areas of the world receive EdUniversal diplomas: Africa, Central Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia and the Middle East, Far East Asia, Latin America, North America, and Oceania. Their ranking is determined on the basis of internationalisation criteria developed by the international scientific committee. A key stage in the ranking process is the voting of the heads and deans of the 1,000 best business schools in the world, who express their opinions on each of the 1,000 selected institutions in 153 countries.
The internationalisation criteria take into account the accreditations received, presence in major rankings (for example, the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal), participation in international academic associations (including AMWA, AAPBS, and EBSLG), as well as the presence of a network of partners among deans and business schools at the international and local levels.
"Leadership of the Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University in the EdUniversal Ranking is an indicator of its recognition by the international academic community. The Graduate School of Management at St Petersburg University has established strong ties with foreign universities: we have more than 30 academic partners around the world, joined by four additional business schools this year.
