SPbU Graduate Has Swept Gold at the Stage of the Biathlon World Cup
A graduate of St Petersburg University Ekaterina Yurlova has won the pursuit race at the sixth stage of the Biathlon World Cup held in Anterselva, Italy.
During the race, Ekaterina made only one mistake and ended up at the finish line 12 seconds ahead of her closest rival Selina Gasparin from Switzerland. Dorothea Wierer from Italy won the bronze medal.
Ekaterina Yurlova has already been medalist of the 2015/2016 World Cup twice by winning bronze in the sprint race and relay.

Ekaterina Yurlova was born in Leningrad on 23 February 1985. Went in for skiing and became the winner of the "Ski Track of Russia" and "Toksovo Marathon." Since 2005 performs as a biathlete. Represents St Petersburg and the Leningrad region at competitions. She graduated from St Petersburg University (field of study "Psychology") in 2009.
