SPbU takes part in the Moscow international fair "Education and Career"
St Petersburg University introduced its main and additional educational programmes at the 60th Moscow International Fair "Education and Career." SPbU fair stand attracted over 15,000 people.
Visitors to the fair learned more about key areas of higher education, postgraduate and additional training at SPbU, as well as the secondary vocational education programmes at the Medical College and the College of Physical Culture, Sports, Economics and Technology at St Petersburg University. Prospective students discovered more information about 2025 admissions campaign and passing scores. They also had an opportunity to get answers to the questions on admission procedure.
SPbU fair stand featured a demonstrating and interactive display "University Alumni — Nobel Prize Winners", highlighting the scientific achievements of SPbU researchers. Visitors showed particular interest in the project by a 2023 SPbU Start-up national competition’ team of finalists, who presented a prototype of eco-friendly packaging made from fungal chitin. This innovative material serves as an alternative to conventional plastic and cellulose, while matching the functional characteristics of paper-based materials.
Students of the Social and Conflictology Clinics of SPbU told visitors about their completed projects to illustrate clinical approach instruments topractice-oriented studying at St Petersburg University.
Visitors to St Petersburg University fair stand also learned more about academic and research activities at SPbU, and explored their career prospects. Aside from the university fair activities, SPbU has also participated in the event’s business programme. Elena Evstifeeva, Deputy Head of the Admissions Department for International relations, Political Science, Sociology and Economics specialisation groups at SPbU, spoke to prospective students about the advantages of a classical education at the University. Among these advantages should be noted a high level of academic training, cutting-edge teaching methods, and extensive opportunities for the comprehensive students’ development.
More than 100 Russian universities had attended the Moscow International Fair "Education and Career". The event was held with the support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and the Moscow City Government.
