The universities in Iran are interested in the joint programs with SPbU
St. Petersburg State University welcomed Mehdi Tehranchi, Rector of Shahid Beheshtin University of Teheran, and Behrus Abtahi, a representative of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and Ministry of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Russia and CIS.
Iran delegation enjoyed the chance to visit Scientific Park of SPbU, to explore educational programs of SPbU and to gain information about the academic degrees of PhD, awarded in SPbU.
Igor A. Gorlinsky, Senior Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, and Mehdi Tehranchi agreed on enhancing partnership between the universities of Iran and Russia in order to provide Iranian students with an opportunity to pursue their post-graduate education or to apply for postdoc positions in the European or American universities. Rector of Shahid Beheshtin University expressed his opinion on a joint program in Management, as this research sphere is one of the leading sphere in the University of Teheran and annually the University provides educational and refresher courses for the representatives of the Ministry of Petroleum and Ministry of Energy, said Mehdi Tehranchi.
I. А. Gorlinksy said he would consider this proposal, referring to the master programs “Oil and Gas Engineering” in SPbU. Moreover, he encouraged partnership in carrying out mutual research on the Russian language and Iranian philology.
St. Petersburg State University and the University of Teheran agreed on exchanging the contacts between the researchers in corresponding domains.
