St Petersburg State University has an annual University-wide call for applications to support the participation of its staff and students in international academic events with their reports on the research findings. The priority is given to young promising researchers, including students on master and aspirantura programmes as well as participants of major international events, e.g. guest speakers. Besides, SPbU runs competitions to finance expeditions and trips to Russian and foreign organisations for research or an internship.
