Digitalisation in medicine: human capital or AI?
The SPbU Representative Office in Spain invites you to an online lecture titled "Digitalisation in medicine: human capital or AI?" given by Lidiya Soprun, Associate Professor at the Department of Health Organisation and Medical Law.
Artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is a tool that is opening up new horizons in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease. Thanks to machine-learning algorithms and software, AI can not only replicate human thinking, but also surpass it, offering innovative approaches to solving complex medical challenges. The integration of these technologies facilitates the development of more accurate, faster and more personalised methods of medical care, making them an integral part of modern medicine and science.
During the session, participants will explore key trends and advances in the digitisation of healthcare. Topics will include the implementation of electronic medical records, the growth of telemedicine, the use of patient data analytics systems, the creation of remote health monitoring portals, and the adoption of other cutting-edge digital solutions.
The lecture will also address a crucial question: Can AI and automated systems completely replace doctors? Special attention will be paid to patient safety, as well as predictions and prospects for the interaction between AI and human capital. Participants will learn about successful examples of digital solutions that are already transforming healthcare today. The speaker will discuss how digitalisation is reshaping the interaction between doctors and patients, making medical services more accessible, accurate and convenient.
This lecture is part of the celebrations of the 300th anniversary of SPbU, Russia’s oldest university. The event will be broadcast online in Russian with simultaneous translation into Spanish.
