Fantasy without intelligence produces monsters. United fantasy becomes the mother of art and the source of wonders.
Francisco Goya
Francisco Goya opens an internal world full of knowledge about the future and past of art. His genius through the centuries gives more and more fruits, responding and reborn in the new time works of Picasso, Siqueiros, Orozco and Buñuel.
The Goya’s world is a place where donkeys manage people, a demon writes a book of fates and the intelligence dream gives birth to monsters.
His works are as surprisingly diverse as the traditions on which he relies. An echo with deep customs is necessary for the artist who conveys the folk-carnival illumination of the inexhaustible human being and the constant life victory over death. However, this uplifting period in his work doesn’t acquire the loudest fame. Surprisingly, it is a completely different period — gloomy and terrible, hysterically tragic, withering, that tells about the victory of death, like frescoes the «Deaf Man’s Villa» or the etchings of «The Disasters of War».
The meeting will be held in Russian with simultaneous translation into Spanish.
