History of Palaeontology at St Petersburg University. Part two (mid XX — early XXI century)

The second part of the exhibition is devoted to the history of the development of palaeontology at St Petersburg (Leningrad) University from mid-1945 to the 1960s. During these years a powerful Leningrad group of palaeontologists was formed, including students of Yanishevsky, Pravoslavlev, Pchelintsev, Krishtofovich and Orlov.
These years were marked by the work of outstanding university palaeontologists Bystrov, Korobkov, Sokolov, Stepanov and many of their students. The exhibition will highlight the major scientific achievements of these scientists and educators.
