Mendeleev’s awards

SPbU Dmitri Mendeleev Museum and Archives continues the theme dedicated to the recognition of the merits of the man declared the greatest scientist of all time by UNESCO in 1984.

Mendeleev wrote: ‘Scientific fame is not only my personal pride, but also the Russian pride, as I have been elected a member of all the most important scientific academies, starting from London, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Boston, to the many scientific societies of Russia, Western Europe and America’.
