This place was the hub of student life at St Petersburg University in the 19th century. Along the entire length of the corridor, you will see cabinets from the previous century, which house the old collections of the Maxim Gorky Scientific Library. The opposite side features a gallery of portraits, busts, and sculptures of famous alumni.

During the tour you will learn about the biographies and scientific achievements of many of these individuals, immerse yourself in the history of Russia’s oldest university and soak up the atmosphere of centuries of academic tradition.
